Steam turbine blades are affected by high-temperature and high-pressure steam. During operation, they bear a relatively large bending moment. The moving blades in high-speed operation also have to withstand a high centrifugal force. The blades in the wet steam area, especially the last-stage blades, have to undergo electrochemical corrosion and water droplet erosion. The moving blades also have to bear very complex excitation forces. Therefore, the steel used for blades should meet the following requirements:
1. Have sufficient mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature, as well as creep resistance;
2. Have high vibration damping ability;
3. Have high structural stability;
4. Have good corrosion and erosion resistance;
5. Have good processability.
